Exit Strategies: Mergers and Acquisitions in Property Management

The pace of mergers and acquisitions in the residential property management industry has picked up in the past few years. Is your company a potential target? A respected local industry leader offers his personal experience on successful exit strategies for owners of property management businesses.

  • If you are an owner-broker, find out how to maximize the value of your business.
  • If you are a property manager, learn how to navigate the changes.
  • If you aspire to run your own management company, gain insights on how to build value that pays off in the long run.

Drawing upon his own company’s business model, Bob Machado of HomeRiver Group provides answers to the following questions:

  • Why you need to prepare an exit plan?
  • How do you prepare your property management business to be acquired?
  • How is the value of your company determined?
  • How are you paid?
  • How are your needs accommodated?
  • What happens to your employees and agents?
  • How long does the process take?

An interesting topic even for everyone regardless of your position in the industry.
