John Charbonneau is 4th generation San Franciscan raised in Marin County. He began his construction career in the 80's remodeling homes in Marin County. Later he took a position at Jackson's Hardware in San Rafael where he stayed for 10 years. He went on from there to become a Certified Home Inspector owning and operating one of the largest and most successful home inspection companies in the State, performing nearly 100 inspections per week!

After a career as a Home Inspector and skilled Defect Recognition Specialist and Certified Mold Inspector, John spent some time as the Outside Sales Manager at Mountain Hardware in Truckee, CA. before returning home to Marin County and starting North Bay Handyman, Inc. With all the success that came of North Bay Handyman, John decided to expand his business to his beloved Truckee-Tahoe. The two companies are now combined to form Golden State Handyman, Inc.

John is a Licensed General Contractor (#1038844), a Certified Home Inspector and Certified Mold Inspector with a thriving handyman business in Marin County and Truckee, CA. John, with the help of his dedicated talented crew continues to help Realtors, Property Managers and Homeowners with remodels and maintenance projects in Sonoma/Marin, Sacrament/Sierra Foothills and the Truckee-Tahoe Area.
